Taking antibiotics
It is highly important to learn how you should take antibiotics in order to take them in a proper way. Before the usage of various antibiotics, you should thoroughly read the information about them on the label of the medicine in order to know what dose you should take and the term, which is safe for the proper medicine taking. If you have some questions, it is better to ask your doctor or pharmacist about everything you want to know about this medical drug.
The first and the most important question one should ask is the question of how this medicine should be taken. Some medicines should be taken before eating while others after it. If you take antibiotics incorrectly, their absorption and effectiveness will be reduced.
Not everybody note how they store medical drugs they take. Still, it is very important to store your medical drugs correctly. For example, some antibiotics must be refrigerated, while the others are stored at room temperature.
It is also essential that a person beginning a course of antibiotic use should come to the end. Sometimes you feel better before you have come to the end of the course. Nevertheless, do not stop it and take the entire course of the antibiotic use. If you do not take all the antibiotics which are included in the course the bacteria will not be completely killed. In the result, it can become resistant to the antibiotics and can cause serious problems in case of reinfection.
Interactions of antibiotics
If you take antibiotics with some other medications, you should know that this can cause various interactions. For example, one should not use Reglan (a medicine for digestive system) with such an antibiotic as Biaxin. Before the usage of antibiotic, tell your doctor about all the medicine you are taking at the moment.
